Where are they now?

All the great players who played for Charlton. What happened to them? What are they doing now?

PEARSON, John. Sheffield Wednesday, Charlton, Leeds, Rotherham, Barnsley, Hull City, Carlisle, Mansfield, Cardiff (1981-1995)Worked as an Insurance Salesman until becoming manager of Carlisle and assistant manager of Stoke City.He now manages the non league team Sheffield (the worlds oldest football club). He also runs soccer schools in Yorkshire along with other ex-pro`s.

PHILLIPS, John. Shrewsbury, Aston V, Chelsea, Crewe, Brighton., Charlton, C Palace (1968-1983). Now runs the motor factors company that he set up in Mitcham, while still playing for Crystal Palace. Both his father and grandfather played League football

PHILLIPS, Leighton. Cardiff, Aston V, Swansea, Charlton, Exeter. (1967-1982). Lives in Neath and has worked for Confederation Life since retiring from professional football. He is now a senior life underwriter for the company.

PEACOCK, Keith. Charlton. (1962-1978). Former Gillingham manager who is now assistant manager of Charlton Athletic, the latest in many posts he has held for the club.

RIDDICK, Gordon. Luton, Gillingham, Charlton, Leyton O, Northampton, Brentford. (1962-1976). Lives in Watford where he used to run his own building company, then managed a builders merchants and kitchen company. Now employed as a sales executive and has worked freelance for BBC Match of the day since he finished playing.

POWELL, Colin. Charlton, Gillingham. (1972-1982). Paddy is now groundsman at Charlton Athletic's ground, The Valley.

SMART, Roger. Swindon, Charlton. (1961-1973). Now runs the Plough public house in Swindon

SIMONSEN, Allan. Charlton (1982) Is now manager of the Faroes Islands national team.

PARTRIDGE, Malcolm. Mansfield, Leicester, Charlton, Grimsby, Scunthorpe. (1967-1981) Now runs the Millfields Hotel in Grimsby

DUNPHY, Eammon. Man U, York, Millwall, Charlton, Reading (1962-1976) Back in Dublin working as a writer and broadcaster.

SEWELL, John. Charlton, C Palace, Leyton O. (1956-1971) Is now running a teashop in America.

PEAKE, Andy. Leicester, Grimsby, Charlton, Middlesboro, (1978-1992). Joined the Police force and has since played for the Leicestershire Constabulary FC.

NAYLOR, Terry. Tottenham, Charlton. (1969-1983). Terry went on to run the 'Pickwick' public house in South East London, also worked as a football reporter for the Sunday Sport and is now a postman

NELSON, Andy, West Ham, Ipswich, Orient, Plymouth (1957-1967). Managed many clubs including Plymouth and Charlton, now lives in Alicante Spain having retired won a Spanish Bowls Championship in 1996.

MacKENZIE, Steve. C Palace, Man C, WBA, Charlton, Sheff Wed, Shrewsbury. Steve(1979-1994) Lives in Midland where he runs an internet development company.

McLEARY, Alan. Millwall, Sheffield United, Wimbledon, Charlton Athletic, Bristol City, Millwall (1982-1998). Started his management career with Millwall and became assistant manager at Oxford United until May 2001.

MEHMET, Dave. Millwall, Charlton, Gillingham, Millwall. (1976-1987) Went into non-league management and is now assistant Academy boss of Millwall

MILLER, Paul. Tottenham, Charlton, Watford, Bournemouth, Brentford, Swansea. (1978-1990) Lives in Hampstead worked as a business development manager for an Employment Consultancy before moving onto Bangue De Luxembourg, has also acted as an agent.

MILNE, Ralph. Dundee United, Charlton, Bristol C, Man Utd, West Ham (1977-1989) Has now been unemployed in for several years, living in the Nailsea area of Bristol.

LAWRENCE, Lennie. Plymouth, Charlton. Managed Plymouth, Charlton, Middlesborough, Bradford City, Luton Town and now Grimsby Town.

LAWRIE, Sam. Middlesborough, Charlton Ath, Bradford P.A. (1951-1965). Died in 1979.

KENNING, Mike. Aston Villa, Shrewsbury, Charlton, Norwich, Wolves, Charlton, QPR, Watford (1959-1973) Now lives in South Africa working as a Sales Rep for a safety equipment company.

HARFORD, Ray. Charlton, Exeter, Lincoln Mansfield, Port V, Colchester. (1965-1974) An experienced coach and manager is now first team coach at Millwall.

HARRIS, Carl. Leeds, Charlton, Bury, Rochdale, Exeter C. (1974-1988) Former manager of Briton Ferry in the Welsh League. ]

HARRISON, Steve. Blackpool, Watford, Charlton (1971-1981)A well travelled coach is currently with Aston Villa.

HINCE, Paul. Man C, Charlton, Bury, Crewe. (1966-1970). Is now a journalist with the Manchester Evening News, having taken up journalism with the Ashton Reporter before joining city.

HINTON, Marvin. Charlton, Chelsea (1957-1974). Was running his own Office removals business. But has been unable to work since a head on car smash he was involved in near his home in Crawley, Sussex.

GATTING, Steve. Arsenal, Brighton, Charlton, (1977-1993) Is brother of former Middlesex and England cricketer, Mike, who was last heard of playing for non-league St. Leonards.

ALLISON, Malcolm. Charlton, West Ham (1949-1957). Flamboyant manager who achieved incredible success with Manchester City, as well as bringing colour to a number of other clubs. Lives near Middlesbrough and his last League post was as Manager of Bristol Rovers in 1993. Believed to have suffered a substantial loss as a result of the collapse of the B.C.C.I. bank.

WALKER, Mike. Reading, Shrewsbury, York, Watford, Charlton, Colchester U. (1963-1982). Started his management career as reserve team boss at Norwich before taking control of the first team, left for Everton only to return to Carrow Road after starting his own skip hire company is now managing Apoel Nicosia in Cyprus.

WALSH, Paul. Charlton, Luton, Liverpool, Tottenham, QPR, Portsmouth, Man C, Portsmouth. (1979-1995) Is now a player agent living in Hampshire also acts as a media pundit and dabbles with a bit of property development
